More Presence for Christmas.

Hey, everyone!

Letting you know this will be my last post for 2019, but I’ll resurface with weekly story-style devotions on January 3rd, 2020.

I’m currently in one of my happy places at the beach where my mind becomes more clear to write.

Yes, full view of the ocean, the sunrise greeting me daily-even if hidden by clouds-the roar and foam of the waves. And some oh-so-incredibly-refreshing spiritual time!

Aside from rich study of scripture and prayer in the mornings, my objective here has been to polish the first in a three-part series, create a fast draft of the second while noodling ideas for the third.

I’m trusting the Lord to place these manuscripts in careful hands once they’re finished. I’m so excited for you to journey along with my characters once they reach “readable” form.

For those who missed my Winter newsletter a few weeks ago, may I introduce…

Book #1: Everley Scott, a buttoned-up CPA meets Gabe Bellevue, a driven historic restoration specialist.

Book #2: Serenity Lewis, a spirited bakery shop owner meets Owen Walker, a cupcake-baking NFL defensive end.

Book #3: Laurel James, super model meets Jude Buchanan, a vigilant…and somewhat restless…Marine. Still getting them to talk and share their dark moment stores. They’ve been a little bit hesitant.

For this week’s message, I’m sharing an article I wrote for the just-released quarterly issue of Refresh, an online Bible study magazine (see crazy beautiful poinsettia image to the upper right over there?).

It’s entitled,

More Presence for Christmas (page 12) and is kindly placed in among many magnificent, soul-stirring articles written by fantastic contributors. I pray the message brings you peace in His presence.

Thanks for being subscribers!

Merry Christmas! May God bless you and keep you close to His heart this season.

God is within her. She will not fall. God will help her at break of day. Psalm 46:5 (NIV)

Quick reminder, my debut Call to Love is now available for purchase online. (What, that squeal? That was me 😇) Buy links here. If you’ve gotten a copy, read to the happily ever after ending and enjoyed Tracy and Tom’s story, please let Amazon, Goodreads and Bookbub know how you feel. Best gift an author can receive!
